Judges 13:24 Old Hannah bore Samson and God blessed him.
Judges 14:1-4 Samson wanted a Philistine wife, outside his religion, to give his God an opportunity to murder the Philistines.
Judges 14:6-9 Without weapons, Samson tore a lion to pieces. Later, he ate honey from the lion’s dead carcass.
Judges 14:11-20 Samson bet 30 men 30 tunics to solve a riddle. The spirit of God came upon Samson, and he murdered 30 men so to steal their 30 garments to pay off a gambling debt. Samson’s wife (no name) who had just married him, made him lose the bet; then, she proceeded to marry Samson’s best man.
The spirit of God did what? Samson bet 30 men 30 tunics that they could not answer his riddle. He told his future wife the answer to his riddle. She told the men and Samson lost the bet. The spirit of God came upon Samson and he went to the city and murdered 30 men and stole their tunics so to pay off his debt. Do you get the impact of this story?
Judges 15:4-5 Samson caught 300 foxes, tied their tails together, set them on fire, released them and they burned down the countryside.
Nice touch Samson! You have to be every demented kid’s hero.
Judges 15:8 Samson inflicted a great slaughter on his wife’s people.
Judges 15:16-17 God released Samson who found a jawbone of an ass and killed 1,000 men. Samson said: With the jawbone of an ass, I have slain a thousand men.
What a Hero!
Judges 16:1 Samson had sex with a harlot.
This confirms it. Samson is the Biblical God’s kind of hero.
Judges 16:4 Samson fell in love with Delilah.
Judges 16:10 & 13 Samson lied to Delilah.
This confirms by Bible C&V documentation that Samson, like most of God’s heroes, is also a liar.
Judges 16:17 Samson told his wife, Delilah, the truth about his strength and his long hair. The Philistines brought money. While he slept in her lap, Delilah, had her fellow Philistines shave Samson’s head to take his powers. Then, she began to mistreat him.
Judges 16:20-31 Samson realized God had left him. The Philistines gouged his eyes out. Blinded, Samson put his hands on the temple pillars. He killed more men and women bringing down the temple than he had killed during his entire lifetime, and he died himself. Samson had judged Israel for 20 years.
Then God gave Samson the power to destroys the Philistine’s pagan Temple. Samson murdered many.
Hummm. Didn’t Samson, like Jesus Christ, who allowed Himself to die on the cross, also commit suicide?
